Alice Walker, an American poet, writer and activist, is best known for the critically acclaimed novel The Color Purple (1982) for which she won the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize.  She reads letter of Rachel Corrie, who was crashed to death on March 26, 2003 while trying to protect the demolition of Palestinion housing development in the Gaza Strip.
